Market Manager - Pharmaceuticals
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, the purpose of this role is to manage the sales and marketing of active ingredients and excipients into the pharmaceutical industry. The principal accountabilities are as follows:
1 To devise, agree and implement product and market strategies by direct contact and negotiation with customers in order to meet gross margin targets
2 To be the Account Manager responsible for negotiating prices, agreeing levels of service and product specifications, providing technical service and expertise and establishing and growing customer relationships in order to develop substantial growth in sales of pharmaceutical raw materials.
3 To act as the UK Product Manager for the pharmaceutical product range and to source products from within the wider group, agreeing product and marketing strategy.
4 To gather market information, analyse trends, competitor activity and legislative changes in order to anticipate changing customer requirements in order to develop and grow sales
5 To understand and comply with the UK and European pharmaceutical regulations to ensure that the business meets these and the needs of our customers and suppliers
6 To develop a brand and manage the publicity and PR for the pharmaceutical business, that reflects the image of quality and service associated with the Company.
The successful applicant will have a good understanding of UK/European pharmaceutical market and its customers, and experience of selling active ingredients/excipients/intermediates to a UK customer base
